Troubleshooting

Download of Installer File Fails

There are two known causes:

  1. 403 error caused by downloading software such as Get Right -- disabling the software should remove the obstruction
  2. Internet Explorer security settings -- see below.

Right-click and select Copy Shortcut to link to this paragraph   Internet Explorer

Readers may receive the following message when attempting to download the installer file (from Free Download):

Your Internet Explorer settings may have blocked the download.

Solution 1

Add Incredible Charts to your trusted sites:

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>>Internet Options>>Security
  2. Select Trusted Sites and click the Sites button

  1. Enter *.incrediblecharts.com
  2. Clear the check box: Require server verification (https) for all sites in this zone
  3. Click the Add button
  4. Click OK to return to the Security tab

  1. Click the Default Level button (for Trusted Sites) 
  2. Click OK.

Solution 2

Alternatively, instead of step # 7 above, you can customize your Trusted Site (or Internet) settings :

  1. Open Internet Explorer and go to Tools>>Internet Options>>Security
  2. Select the Trusted Sites (or Internet) button
  3. Click the Custom Level button

  1. Scroll down until you find Downloads
  2. Set File download (under Downloads) to Enable.

  1. Click OK and close the Internet Options window.
