USA: Exchanges & Indexes
You can now set your default exchange as US Indexes & Exchanges (exchange code "us") which covers US Indexes (Exchange Code in), NYSE (Exchange Code ny), NASDAQ (Exchange Code nq) and AMEX (Exchange Code mx):
USA: Searches
Searches can now be done on "us" as the exchange code for US Indexes, NYSE, NASDAQ and AMEX.
For example, searching on * us will return all securities and indexes
within US Indexes (in), NYSE (ny), NASDAQ (nq) and AMEX (mx):
USA: Securities Input Box
In a similar fashion you can load a security or index via the Securities Input Box by entering "_us" as the Exchange Code. For example, entering msft_us in the Securities Input Box loads Microsoft (msft_nq):
Crosshairs
Crosshairs have been revamped to overcome issues raised by members. Activate by selecting View >> Crosshairs.
No adjustment is needed when using the Zoom feature or
when placing Trendlines and Captions.
Crosshairs no longer require the mouse-down action: they are be visible
wherever you hover your mouse. Keep in mind that they will only show
when
Incredible Charts is the active application. If you open Internet
Explorer and it is the active application, the crosshairs will not show
until
Incredible Charts again becomes active. To achieve this, click once
anywhere on the application ... even within the charting area.
Full Screen View [ F4 ]
Full Screen View [ keyboard shortcut F4 ] is now not limited to only the charting module. We have also placed a new R menu button to the right of the Email Charts button on the top menu to Restore from FullScreen Mode:
Indicator Lines: Latest Value
The latest value for each Indicator Line
is now profided to the right of each charts right axis. This value is
always visible on the chart. The mouse-over provides the legend
information for the particular Indicator Line:
Startup Default Security
The Startup Default Security can now be set via Securities >> Set Current Security as Startup Default. Keep in mind that File >> Project Defaults >> Default Security takes precedence - if a Project Default Security is set for the Default Project ( which always loads first at startup ), that default will load instead of this Startup Default:
Good News
This version completes the foundation work necessary for further development
of the charting software, leaving us free to concentrate on new indicators and drawing tools in the next few months; so watch this space.
New Website Menus

Navigating some websites can
appear like an interminable game of snakes and ladders: you know the information
is there somewhere, but can never quite find the link.
We have revised our website menus in an effort to improve navigation through
the multitude of trading guides and help/support pages. Place your mouse over
one of the menu links (on the website) and you will find a drop-down menu with no more than four
options, each taking you to a major sub-section.
A completely revised left menu will follow shortly.
New Guides
A common question from new readers is: "there is so much information;
where do I start?"
Along with the new menus, are new introductory guides to:
New Support System
To enhance support, we are moving to a web-based support system in
the next week. This requires a shift away from email-based support but will
deliver improved response times and tracking of support requests.
More about this and the new troubleshooting wizards in next week's newsletter.
Don't aim for
success if you want it; just do what you love and believe in, and it will come
naturally.
