Newsletters are not received
There could be any of a number of causes:
- You may have submitted an incorrect email address.
Check the address on the Login page - You may have insufficient server space allocated by your ISP. Many free
service providers, such as Hotmail or Yahoo, only allocate limited space for
each user. The newsletters are +/- 20Kb in size and may not be accepted.
Check with your ISP. - Your mailbox may be full.
Clear your mailbox on a regular basis. - If you are running anti-spam software, this may block the newsletters.
Often the software filters out emails that contain an Unsubscribe link (we cannot remove this without inconveniencing readers). Create permission for *incrediblecharts.com in your spam filter. - Some mail servers run similar spam filters, blocking the newsletters.
Check with your ISP.
If unable to find a solution, you can still view the weekly newsletter at /free/trading_diary/trading_diary.php.
Password requested
Hotmail interferes with the opening of the Trading Diary link in Internet Explorer. You may be presented with a dialog box requesting a password.
- Open the Trading diary link on the menu at the top of this page
You can also reach this link from the top menu on the Home page - Add the Trading Diary to your Favorites in Internet Explorer
- Open the Trading Diary directly from Internet Explorer in future.
No images
- You need to be online when opening the ASX Trading Diary.
- Configure your email browser to accept images.
- For Outlook Express:
- Select Tools >> Options >> Security
- Clear the box under Download Images

- For Outlook Express 6.0 XP Service Pack 2:
- Leave the Download Images box checked
- Just click on the prompt at the top of the incoming email

- Company or Personal Firewalls have to be configured to allow Incredible
Charts to connect to the Internet.
Adjust your firewall and other content filtering software to allow your email browser to connect to:
- IP address: 216.18.5.30 HTTP (TCP) Port 80 or
- domain: http://www.incrediblecharts.com HTTP (TCP) Port 80
Internet Security Settings
Add Incredible Charts to your Internet Explorer
Trusted Sites.
Interference from Real Download software
If you have Real Download installed on
your PC, it will interfere with the Trading Diary chart images
unless you make the following changes:
- Open Real Download
- Select Tools >> Options
- Select the File Types tab and click on PNG
- Click the Remove button and Close.
This will prevent Real Download from opening image files in the newsletter.
Graphic Filter
Search your hard drive for PNG32.FLT
This is a graphics filter required to open .png images in Outlook Express.
If not found, the graphic filter is available as part of the MS Office suite.
Unsubscribe Problems
If you attempt to unsubscribe and receive a message saying that your address is not on the mailing list:
- Please check the address to which the newsletter was sent
- Contact Support.
Bear in mind that the automated subscribe/unsubscribe software will not recognize variations in email addresses:
- xx@primus.com.au and xx@iprimus.com.au are treated as separate addresses;
- likewise xx@bigpond.com and xx@bigpond.com.au.
