MACD and Signal Line

Details of the indicator can be found at MACD.

Signals

• Bull Signals
  When MACD crosses to above the signal line
• Bear Signals
  When MACD crosses to below the signal line
  

To Set the MACD Filter:

1. Click the MACD check box
2. Choose between a bull or a bear signal
3. Select the number of days within which the crossover must have occurred.
4. Click on "Submit" at the top/bottom of the page.

MACD Zero Crossover

If MACD gives a bull/bear signal and respects the zero line, the signal is stronger.

Example

McGuigan Simeon Wines with MACD and MACD Signal Line.

1. MACD respects zero and crosses to above its signal line.

Signals

  When MACD crosses to above zero
• Bear signals
  When MACD crosses to below zero
  

To Combine the Two MACD Filters:

1. Click the MACD check box
2. Select identical Bull or Bear settings for both filters
3. Insert a low number of days for both filters, preferably "1" trading day.
4. Click on Submit at the top/bottom of the page.
